This production of Shrek Jr. was captured using a three-camera setup, with the show live switched to provide a dynamic, performance-ready program. Audio was pulled directly from the main sound board, ensuring clear dialogue and music throughout the performance.
Because the production featured two separate casts, two complete performances were recorded to ensure each cast received full, dedicated coverage. Attending rehearsals in advance allowed for cue familiarity and improved camera timing during the live switch.
In addition to operating the switcher and manning a camera, a student videographer was directed during the performance, providing an opportunity for guided, hands-on production experience while maintaining professional standards.
A director highlight video was also produced using selected scenes and musical moments from the show, offering a concise and engaging recap for internal and promotional use.
